So what is the wiiu disc anyway? Is it a nonstandard bluray disc. And can it be read with a certain model of bluray drive like the wii discs could with a certain dvd drive.

Really. Wow wonder how exactly that works. Does the wiiu disc drive ignore the outer rim, or does it read on an angle or something weird like that.

Wii and Gamecube formats are just modified DVD formats with some special flashed drives and some key stuff and hash stuff
I would assume the WiiU follows the same kind of format since it's really effective for what it's worth.
That and in addition to the physical difference as Mord Fustang added.

Be sure to read the guides in the OP like nobody else does

    Thanks for the info.
Its really funny sometimes isn't it. Ive helped so many people "unbrick" their 3ds systems. My favorite thing to do is drop infographs warning people to remove the damn clock caps from their original xbox systems.

I can only hope you missed my posts the past few threads. There's some really dense people there, though you wouldn't be there if you knew what you were doing.
Im not doing it no matter how much you tell me to.

It's a proprietary format, but it's probably based on Blu-ray. It was codeveloped by Panasonic, who is one of the patent holders of Blu-ray.
