    ok ...

but , exept that what is the difference? I mean , different motherboard allowing to do other things??? possibility to program directy on in?? (without a computer, in a test ps2 you need to burn the game before launching)

that is what i want to know.

    Hello jccochez,
from the various posts around, you have a pc running linux and a ps2, you can switch from two modes, TOOL and WorkStation, you can program directly on it, that's its main use...

No you get it wrong, a ps2 test is just a ps2 that can read master burned disc, the TOOL is the machine on wich the programming is done.

    i know that.

i'm just saying that it's the same if you own a computer with the SDK: program on the computer, compile the ELF and then pass on a the TEST console.
and with the extra memory of test you can run the debug in the same time ^^
