Nintendo World Championships for 300$. Is this real. Does the back look right. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nintendo-Wor...item41842b6b65
Yeah but look at he screws, they are not common ones. I'm not saying it's real or not though. Seems fishy anyway.
dip switch looks wrong also. most likely fake: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Dmi7Txvz7...0-h/Nintendo-World-Championship-Gold-Gray.jpg http://nintendoage.com/forum/messageview.cfm?StartRow=351&catid=7&threadid=95612 paint does not look right either.
Also the yellow text on the PCB that's visible though the dip switch holes on the originals isn't on the one on ebay.
^^ are you looking to buy it or mediate for somebody who does? :wink-new: ... if there's one thing you can count on, is there's NO shortage of counterfeits...and/or mistaken conclusions to that effect. (i'm guilty of jumping the gun there on a number of times, better to be wrong and not get screwed than be right and lighter in the pocket) sadly, can't say that new suspects aren't getting old. (repetition is the fast-track to madness. :concern: )
A lot of NWC carts have signs of physical damage, if you see a NWC cart in mint condition for $300 than no serious collector has bought you can guarantee it is a fake. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Dmi7Txvz7iI/Sld0vzJZXoI/AAAAAAAABOQ/raQFXhrUd-Q/s1600-h/NWC-Gold-72DPI.jpg
IMHO it looks like a fake. No honest person would sell the game at $300 just because they can't open it up to verify if it's legit or not. Instead, they would have spent $10 to get a game-bit and open it up. If it indeed turned out to be authentic, he would have proof and would be able to sell it for thousands. The only reason he isn't doing this is because he's pretending that he doesn't know if this is a fake or not and wants to fleece some pidgin into buying a $300 repo.
One way you can tell is the logo on the cartridge doesn't look shitty enough to be authentic. But also the previously mentioned visible area of the pcb by the dip switch doesn't match the original board, pretty much telling you the whole story right there.
Please don't post the same thing in multiple threads. Posting in the eBay thread and asking (you had several replies) was sufficient.
yeah, no one who knows what that could be would say they didn't have the $5 bit...Pretty sure many people aren't going to go the "mystery box" route.
