Quick question on Action Replay 4 in 1

I'm new to this forum and I believe I'm posting at the right place (but correct me if I'm wrong) I have a question on Action Replay 4 in 1. Few Saturn games that need 1MB RAM expansion have graphic glitches when using official 4MB RAM pack. Since AR 4 in 1 works for both 1MB and 4MB RAM expansion will it also have said glitches?

 

Yes, it will I believe.

 

It depends on the cart. I have 2 identical looking AR 3-in-1 (without comm port) with the same bios version. I tested one of the KoF games and one cart displays glitched graphics on the character sprites while the other cart works fine.

 

Ah okay. Another question, how reliable is AR 4 in 1 (meaning does save file gets corrupted)?

 

If you want reliability, get official products for each function.

 

My AR has 2 512 KB (I think?) EEPROM chips by SST. It should last for a long time...

 

I remember my original one had an issue and I sent it back as RMA and the replacement unit had no issue.
however it was back in 2004 so not sure how things are nowadays

 

Was it a save issue or was it something else?

 

i have not had any issues with my cart, been using it about 4 or 5 years now. works with all games i have, 1mb and 4mb and havent had any save issues.
