    Hi,

    Just two quick question:

    Is it legal to sell a xbox pre-installed with linux, say - on ebay? :confused:

    Do you need a mod-chip to install linux on a xbox?

    Nobody will sue you, but if ebay see the word "mod" in the auction title or otherwise get wind of it being non-stock they'll likely yank the auction.

    Benheck tried to sell his slot loading dvd, and basically it got removed because it was modded. Wasnt modded in any way shape or form in terms of functionality sofware. Just added a slot loading dvd.

    Ebay is gay.

    eBay removed an Atari 2600 I was selling that was modded to run off a 9v battery. The word "mod" is enough to get it flagged and promptly removed.

    However, if all you have is a modchip/TSOP flash with the Cromwell BIOS on it with a version of Linux compiled with something other than the Microsoft made XDK you're 100% legal as far as I know.
