Its quite a long story, but I'll condense it down. I took one of my friends to Wal-Mart, and I think he stole a 4000 point Microsoft Card for XBL. Yeah, pathetic, I know. He told me he paid for it, but I didn't see him check out. I was looking at the PC and 360 games for the most part. When we left I half jokingly asked him if it was stolen (he doesn't really have morals, you see) and he kept denying it. I might add he's kind of a dumbass as well. He wanted to use it for my Xbox 360 so he could download stuff from the Marketplace, but the card doesn't work. Main reason I think its stolen. Could him trying to do this lead to my console getting banned from XBL? Frankly, I'm tired of his shit, I'm actually thinking of reporting him to Wal-Mart and the police, just to teach him a lesson.
It has to be activated at the register. Thats why it doesn't work. If your going to steal points and XBL cards, then you got to rip them out of the 3 and 12 month starter packs. And I don't think you can get banned.
Hmm, ok. He stole it then. He's gonna get a talkin' to, I tell ya what. That boy ain't right. EDIT: Funny story, actually. That same night he also said "Ok, I bought the points, I want you to buy the 3 month subscription card" and I was like Hell no, and he threw a temper tantrum in the store. I didn't even say I was going to get more months of XBL. He's acting like a little kid, he wants to come over here 24/7 and play Halo 3, not caring if his stolen crap might affect my console, because he's a petty little thief with an IQ of probably below 70.
Yeah, you can basically take one of the cards and walk out. Since there not activated they have no value. My friend asked a dude if he could have one of the GH2 cards just to have it and they said whatever, but this is my butthole town where nobody cares. Another guy got us all 3 month cards...can't say I approve, but whatever. We never got banned so I think you'll live. 12 month cards are 38 on Amazon btw.
PhreQuencyVII, I just noticed you listen to Kult ov Azazel. That makes two of us - been listening to them since 2001!
Your friend sounds really gay. Thats seriously a poor friend if he was trying to guilt you into buying 3 Months of XBL since he "bought" 4000 MS Points.
How old is this guy again? I mean, most of us outgrow shoplifiting when we're like 12. Why are you even hanging aroud someone like that? He'll only get you into trouble.
Oh man, I could tell you stories. Thousands of them. He'll beg for money from me, even though his family is richer than mine and he has a job. He has tried to pull fast ones on me in the past, but since my IQ is probably like 20 above is, it usually doesn't work. He is about 22. I've been friends with him like ever since the second grade, though. Even then I could tell he was a little off. I think he is slightly retarded, and he's a bit immoral. I usually don't go into public places with him, we usually just play games. I kind of feel bad for him though, his dad beat / beats the hell out of him, and his dad and his mom have left him at home by himself ever since he was little. They'd always go out drinking. He isn't poor or living in a white trash style trailer, he actually has a nicer house than I do. But I get so fucking pissed at him at times. AWS could probably tell you a few stories, too. We both know the guy, and we constantly chastise him for the crap he does, but it usually falls on deaf ears. I called him today and he told me he actually did pay for the points, so I told him to just take it back to Wal-Mart and tell them to swipe it or whatever, but he didn't want to, and he also threw away the reciept. I honestly don't know whether he paid for them or not, he's always telling me crap about "How easy it is to shoplift" and stuff, though. Its always petty crap, too. I'm starting to sound like GoH here with the "Too much personal info" stuff, so I'll just stop here.
Me and my sis were a shop lifting duo when we were young. Only stuff we stole was stuff she wanted... like pencils and markers. I was just a tool.
I've never stolen anything. unless you count Graciano1337's copy of guitar hero 2 i've had for over a year now. but nothing from a store. And when you scan those cards - it takes a moment on the registers, it then will activate. But if the product is voided out - it will deactivate. We sell them at my work.
