Looking for a way to format a large qty of PS2 memory cards. Deleting data one file at a time really sucks. I'm also hoping that formatting would also take care of those pesky corrupt files that can not be deleted. Suggestions?
MC Annihilator 2.0 is what you need: http://psx-scene.com/forums/f19/release-mc-annihilator-v2-0-a-65652/
I too use the Free McBoot installer, though the legit way is to find an old Official PlayStation Magazine demo disc.
Having a hell of a time trying to do this. I am trying the disc swap trick with Agent Under Fire but every time I pull out the disc it locks up on me. Edit ok got something this time.
Nice! Agent Under Fire is by far the easiest way to go about installing it... though I've managed to pull off the trick with other games before I got a chipped PS2.
Well you could buy the PS2-memorycard adapter for PS3. They were made for the fat backwards compatible model. They had usb, and could be connected to PC.
It won't allow you to read burned games the same way a chipped PS2 would - the game must be ESR patched, and ESR must be installed on the FMCB memory card. http://psx-scene.com/forums/f164/esr-public-beta-58441/
The only official way of formatting was the Linux kit. There was a bugged Viewtiful Joe demo that formatted your card when you played it, though!
