Hello there! I got a PAL Megadrive I and a Mega Everdrive (OS v4), and am frustrated that quite a number of (good! games don't work, more than the ones listed in the Mega Everdrive documentation's FAQ: - Road Rash - Road Rash 2 - Road Rash 3 - General Chaos are the ones I remember, but there are others... Am I doing something wrong? Is that related to the choice of roms? (I tried several versions, including all of the GoodGens one, and had the same result with another set, sorted by region) Or is it some regional setting? Or is is just bad luck? :/ Despite this frustrated feedback, all should keep in mind that the EverDrive is really awesomely ass-kickin'!!
If you read manual, you should know that best compatibility is not guaranteed in case if you turn on ingame menu. So, just turn off ingame menu
From my experience Everdrive is compatible with region settings. I haven't noticed problems switching a rom between US and Japan mode, no PAL switch installed yet.
Thanks Krikzz for the hint! I read the manual indeed, but I may have got used to the comfort of using ingame menu! Maybe it would be worth growing a (sticky?) thread about "games known to work only with ingame menu disabled"? It would for sure save time and head-scratching to many! Is there such a list somewhere already?
I believe that better just turn off ingame menu if you feel that game does not work properly. Each OS release may have differen compatibility list
