One of the gaming industries greatest artists passed way on the 20th from heart failure at 42. Hirohiko Takayama had posted the news earlier on his facebook page the he died, but didn't give details how so I assumed it might of been misheard information sine I saw no news postings, asked how and he just said it was sad he died. But now that kotaku has the details I guess it fully confirmed (it's even listed on his wiki but no info was given on death). http://kotaku.com/5985871/game-designer-kenji-eno-has-died-at-age-42 Pretty big bummer, he really did make some of the most unique games ever. R.I.P Kenji Eno.
Yeah I've just heard this elsewhere, Thats no age to go. Thanks for the memories Eno! http://www.asahi.com/obituaries/update/0221/TKY201302210302.html?tr=pc
Holly shit, nobody saw that coming. Kenji made some very odd games but also some of the most ground breaking of their time. D on the 3DO blew away the crap Sega of America and Digital Pictures were pumping out on the Mega CD. Then there was Enemy Zero on the Saturn. Also the only game ever to feature no graphics, Real Sound Winds Regret for Saturn and Dreamcast. The amazing for it's time, D2 on Dreamcast and a load of odd quirky games. RIP Kenji.
That is really quite tragic. He was a great musician and did some very interesting games and projects. R.I.P. Kenji.
In addition to being responsible for the likes of D and Enemy Zero, let's not forget that Kenji Eno also gave Fumito Ueda his break... RIP!
Very sad. I shall have to dig out some games to play in his memory. RIP Eno-san. Thanks for a great selection of innovative games!
