is the model Jose Ramirez from Tom Clancy Ghost Recon 2? http://ghostrecon.3dretreat.com/images/specialists2/ramirez.jpg could be...
I've never done anything like that before not sure how. I'm sending it off to the redeye as I have bunch of other things to send anyway. I'm sure he will make it available to anyone who is interested.
I'd have to check, but I might be able to open it in Poser via import. *EDIT* Scratch that, Poser doesn't have that as an import option.
I have 3ds max. I'll take a look at one of those files if you want. .FBX is a Filmbox file, which is/was an animation and model format. Filmbox became Motionbulder. The format is still around as it was useful for transferring data between Maya and Max. Autodesk is further developing the format ala collada, as an all around common format. Your files probably contain geometry, skinning data, and perhaps animation. .MAX is a 3ds Max file. Source file, probably containing the character geometry, texture/material assignments, and maybe rigging and weighting data. .BAK is the backup 3dsmax file format. (Same as .MAX) When the user saves in 3dsmax, a backup is created. If 3dsmax crashes, you can often salvage some amount of work by opening the .BAK .TC? Are you sure you don't mean .TRC? TRC is motion capture data from the Motion Analysis motion capture system. Tracking Markers. Goes into Filmbox/Motion Builder for clean up.
Mind posting the .max file? I love animating crap in 3ds max9 (i get it free from my robotics team!) EDIT: legally
