Last year and now today this one teacher always speaks to me with a different tone... All the other students not being creative for one lesson is ok, but when I do all shit breaks loose.
I'll just speak about today's issue, what happened is; we had to create 3 ideas from a movie and make a short animation but we're only in ideas part at the moment. I wasn't really sure what we had to do as I kept phasing out of class mode (if that makes sense). Not that I wasn't paying attention, but I never go in that class with high hopes, mainly because this teacher just has a negative aurora around me. I always feel uncomfortable speaking to this stupid excuse for a woman let alone teacher just because she always barks at me -_-

Anyway, what happened is right at the last 10 minutes of class she asks me FIRST out of everyone what I've done... I was honest and said I don't have anything done (this is a one off, I ALWAYS do my study!) She then replied "I want you do use your brain when I ask you to and when I expect to see work from you!", I stayed quiet afterwards. She then asked me another question and I said 3 words with a low voice I know this sounds like I'm scared of her, but that's exactly what I am, only because everything I seem to do is just NOT to her standard, EVER. ><

If the slightest issue happens again, I'm reporting her to the depart of education as I've just had it with teachers and their personal issues with me, I'm a slow learner with non-related IT studies I just can't put ideas out pen to paper. As far as I'm concerned I paid a lot of money to do this course, and it's her fucking job to have patients with slower students, we all learn at different paces right? Am I right, or am I the odd one out? :/

Now before anyone comes to the conclusion I sat there without making a sound is false. I was gathering ideas with my peers in my group. However, she never saw this she always stepped out to get coffee etc -_-, my luck.

I know I didn't speak up and started a fucking rant towards her, but last year I did that and it still was my fault. She made it out like I had a personal grudge against her. Now I'm thinking of completely dropping that class as she's impossible to learn from.

    End of rant... sighh...:grief:

I think you should jump of a bridge and put an end at your miserable life

    XD

No, serious now. Did the others students in your class noticed that? They can help out confirming you have being the target of her stress. Theres another class being held by a different teacher that you can switch to?

I'm not incapable of the study, it's I had a uncreative mind that class, that's all... we all go through it.

I might have a talk with the organizer and maybe something can be done, but I doubt it...

Would it need to be in writing?

Yeah, my friend noticed it too and he said it's rather harsh what she said. Annoying thing is there isn't any class I can move into, unless it's not a core subject. I'll have to look into it.

Most teachers have an agenda and they like to stick up for one another. Teachers can never be seen to be wrong, hence they will take it to the extremes over petty things.

Chances are unless theirs hard evidence of you being A. Knocked around by them or B. Racially abused jack shit will happen.

Hard to tell the difference between someone who is flat out lazy and someone with a genuine problem so I can understand where they're coming from until the administrators hand them a paper telling them to sod off because there is a genuine reason for the behavior they're seeing. Regardless, no teacher should ever be hard on a student in this fashion unless the student is being belligerent.

I'll second this. I'm not sure if it applies in this instance, but most universities have procedures in place to help students who need special accommodations (e.g. extra time on tests). However, the student has to make the effort to inform the professor/school of their needs.

I'll play Devil's Advocate here, since I have a good amount of teaching experience (undergraduate and graduate, online and face-to-face). The teacher may have it out for you, but probably is just frustrated with your seemingly apathetic approach to the class. Most teachers teach subjects that interest or excite them (I typically teach undergraduate game design courses for instance). When they get a student in a class that doesn't seem to want to be there (electives are even worse, as they are optional for the student), then they have to deal with it. Some try to change the attitude of the student, others try to get rid of the student. If you really don't want to be in the class or deal with the teacher, do yourself a favor: drop it and move on.

I wasn't being lazy, I always pay attention and do what I'm told. I just didn't have a creative mind set that lesson.

It is usually me she speaks down to every time. When another student doesn't do something she says she wants the work by the next week. I'm the only one she speaks to with a different tone, it's so annoying.

Personally i'd report such activity to the Board of Education because teachers are not supposed to take their stress out on their students and the fact that she acts like a prick to only you should be more than enough to warrent prompt action and if the BoE don't do anything act like a complete prick to her and give her a real reason to hate you maybe then she'll STFU once and for all.

People wont always like you, this is life... Might as well learn it early.

    Edit:

Also, you think reporting something will make it better. Oh the innocence

Unless its something that will make the school look like trash if the newspapers pick up on it. Governors/boards etc do not care. They will simply use the excuse that you weren't working. I've schoolboyed dick teachers before who gave me crap when I'd finished the unit (the entire unit) and were helping other people and I was supposedly still in the wrong. Teachers cannot be seen to be wrong. Especially when you're at a school with a poor rep like mine.

I've dealt with teachers with a chip on their shoulders before. For example, I had a teacher who marked me down because I used more advanced techniques for solving a problem that technically they didn't teach yet, thus, I couldn't get marks for it. So I said to myself: Fine, if you want me to do the stupid way I'll give you stupid as much as you want. I just listened very carefully to the criteria they asked for and did whatever they wanted down to a "Tee". I even included little things which they tended to do themselves, for whatever god knows reason. When it came down to calling me out for anything, I just went "I did it exactly as you asked." After all, I can't be faulted for not reading their mind.

Personally, if I were in your position I'd just ignore the teacher. She can say whatever the hell she likes. She can accuse me of being lazy, not studying, or just not liking me. Come exam/test time, the proof is in the pudding. Just give me my "A" and I'll smell you later.

It won't make things better, but it will remove her job.

I'm not expecting her to like me, in fact I couldn't careless. I don't like her and she doesn't like me, that's fine. This is education not friendship camp, she should be treating me equally as it's her job to teach every student in the same way.

    @Cyantist

That happened to me in highschool, and I guess I can relate to Trenton_net as well. I was above the current skill in the work the teacher was giving us. This was like final year IT mind you, he was teaching us how to make webpages and hyper linking pages together... I did the same work in Year 7 with the same teacher, I complained to him about the easy work as I wasn't learning anything.
I wish math class were like that, what's 2+2? -_-

I knew that, and we didn't even have an IT curriculum in year 7.

Literally our IT lessons consisted of our main teacher who taught core subjects (English, History,Georgraphy etc) would take us to an IT room and let us do work on the computer relating to one of the studies.

IT has new management now and has a fantastic curriculum for all years. They're scrapping DiDA and taking on an Edexcel curriculum that teaches a good well rounded course. Networking, Computer safety everything. DiDA was basically all GFX and time management aswell as logging etc (how you did things) subsequently most boys were crap at it.

That said though the must frustrating thing is completing DiDA work that was ment to be 4 or 5 lessons long in half a lesson and being called arrogant for arguing with a teacher. She said that I "Couldnt have done it right" and when I had was just nitpicking after that (easily fixed). The dopey bitch would rather we would do some shit starter instead of going onto the work immediately. She actually had me sent to my community leader for it who also half heartedly backed her up. Ridiculous.

Man, she sounds really broken... I have to mention the teacher I had was quite dopey too, he'd say to link the pages and just type bullshit into it. Instead of me typing "jdgfksdgfjhsdf" like many people did, I copied and pasted information about the NES. I printed it, and he said it was crap, because I copied and pasted information and it wasn't my words... Right cause "hkjsdfhkjsdfsdf" makes more sense on a webpage. A total wanker, he was. I'd still call him a wanker if I saw him today.

No, no it wont. But what will happen is this: she will be told you complained, you will get more issues than you have now.

In that case, you are just a problem student in her eyes. I'm not saying you are right or wrong, but I think that this is just a matter of perception at this point: you feel persecuted, she probably feels like you couldn't give a damn about the class (I personally hate apathetic students, especially in electives/optional classes). You have two choices: a) stay in the class, do the work and forget about the teacher's feelings toward you or b) drop the class.

There is a different approach to that, I mean calling me stupid isn't going to motivate me at all. Anyway, I'm not viewing the class negatively at all, I *want* to learn, she's just making it more difficult for me.
