Hi all got a friend on my msn his English is not that great so asked me to post this up. Well his kit seems to when he power it on turn on and off and on and off repeatedly at 1 second intervals. we have tried changing the RF board, psu and checked that there is no shorts or missing components. we have also tried flashing different nand images to it to check that it is not a SMC problem. Any help would be much appreciated SP
Your referring to the french guy who contacted me last night. Thats who I was helping. I was going to have him shadowboot a recovery but we ran into this problem. He was bricked by the 9xxx recovery and I had him do all kinds of things but we always ran into this. Also his kit isn't turning on and off rapidly it turns off as soon as he turns it on. I had to stop helping him half way through because of the strong communication barrier. A lot of contradictory statements were made till I couldn't penpoint what the hell the problem was anymore. The only thing I could think of is his usb flasher is messing with the NAND.
yeah i dunno i didn't relies i don't think he could understand me because of my strong barrier to English lol (dyslexia you are a bitch) i dont know what the hell could make it do that apart from a power side problem like short or something my old reviewers kit did something similar that was one of the mostfets at the back. what ever its only a china kit its not really a lost if its bricked
Well I would have him send it to me to look at but he lives in France so with a language barrier and no hands on action I'm going to say this is a lost cause. At any rate I will make a tutorial in a few days on how to shadowboot a recovery.
I suppose it's a really nasty case of corrupted SMC/Southbridge "BIOS"/program. (Flash block 0) He probably had a wrong or bad SMC program flashed during recovery attempts and it's making the console shutdown.
