I just saw a Songa Mega Brazil 3 today on FleaBay. These things are extremely rare and very little is known about them. Anyone care to get it and give us an overview? It seems to be all region capable thanks to the switches on bottom.

It's a very usual chinese garbage which costs 10-20$ brand new.Look at http://segaretro.org/Mega_Drive_X

I have the "best of the best" one of this kind (cheaply made, but still good, from early 2000s) called "Mega Drive 4" and it has region switch too, it works and allow player to play games of any region. That's all, what kind of overview do you want? Image and sound quality are poor.

Some early 2000s clones has original videochips (Sega officially sold them to Chinese for pirate clones, yes) and 60hz mode, but I already don't remember anything about that. These are more interesting to find (at least for me).

EVERY clone nowadays has region switch. Some of them even have voltage (2.-3.5v) switches.
Voltage switch is a total mystery but I had one of these clones. I got some game which didn't work and switching voltage helped to launch it. I have no fuckin' idea what Chinese made out there with this.

While that may be true this thing is older than that. It was made around the late '90s. It's also made by Songa, not Simba. May be same company but who knows?

Companies are different, but parts are the same, the same Chinese produce them. Simba is a 100% russian "company".
However, late 1990s/early 2000s was a period of changed productivity. You could find a high quality 90s cart with old-school PCB, but also with shitty sticker and cheap small box. So if it's from late 90s, there is a small possibility of acceptable quality.
But there are far more rare clones which more interesting, at least just to look at. I saw some old-school Famiclone which looks like Nintendo 64 and even its controller was identical. I could try to find its photos if there's any interest. However, it's not on eBay and it's not Sega-related.

Also, about switches thing - not a long ago I sold some Famiclone from late 80s (!) (sadly, for just 12$) and there was no information about it at all. Its called Eastern Computer and had 50/60hz switch, it didn't work though.
