Turns out one of the cartridges had a discrete NAMCO 163 chip in it ! ray: (Namco Classic, an quite nice Golf game for the Famicom ... :nod The chip: All the other cartridges were the usual EPOXY blobs...
Brazilian bashing going on here! That chip is a nice find. I never tried it so I'm not sure - can I open a Famicom-cartridge without damaging the cart and label? If so, then I will have a look into a couple of Namco carts that are coming in in the next couple of months. I ordered a shitload, heheh.

Can anyone tell me something about the game "Pyokotan no Daimeiro"? Released by sunsoft later in the Famicoms life. It seems to be rather uncommon, is it considered a rarity though? And is it good, fun to play? I can only find one video and it seems like you walk around in a world where you constantly encounter battles like in an RPG, but instead of fighting monsters, one has to pass plenty of little mini games!? _______________ And another question: Is Yancha Maru 1 really a rare and expensive game? http://page10.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/m101008825 This auction for a new one is already at 20'000yen and 5 days left. Okay, it's new, but 20'000yen is still a lot after such a short time and for a 1987 Famicom game... there's also a loose cart on ebay for $50 BIN. I was never aware this game was rare and sought after. Or maybe it isn't (if it's not new)? Anyone?
