Hey guys, this is just a little idea I had while playing around in the grouper software. With the apparent demise of all the FTP servers, I thought that we might need a way to share intresting files to each other. http://grouper.com/ Grouper is a clever piece of software which allows you to privatly share files in groups of up to 50. Files are then downloaded in a p2p fashion, and then you can share them to allow multi-source downloads. I just thought this was a good idea, if you agree, I will set up a ASSEMbler network (aka, rename my testing ground one). The only cons are that: a) Its only for WinXP/Win2000 b) mp3 files can only be streamed unless zipped/rared c) 50 people limit is a little low?
we could better use direct connect for example, and if i remember well a member here have a ftp with interesting things tought i don't have the pass for acceding
