I've been in to gaming for about 30 years and in to the Mega CD since it's release in the early 90's yet I've never come across one of these before. It's an official lens cleaner for the Mega CD made by Japanese audio care company, Mumin. It's officially licensed by Sega and goes under the name of Fresh Cleaner. I thought this would just be an audio cleaning disc but it does avtually have software on it and unlike most lens cleaners that only have 1 or 2 brushes on the disc, this has 7!! Check out the poorly made video
Nice find, especially for just 100 yen because they are pretty rare i believe. You are going for a MCD fullset Yakumo?
Did it not have a cover, or is it just missing one? I wouldn't be surprised if it never came with one, since it seems like none of those CD-cleaners did.
I don't really collect Mega Cd stuff but it's not that hard to get a 90% complete set as they appear quite often on Yahoo Auctions. This CD lens cleaner has never been in any set though. No, no cover but as you say pretty much every CD lens cleaner comes with no cover, only a back cover.
I have to say the seven brushes sounds absolutely off the chart. Until I see a high resolution photo of all seven in view, I'm a non-believer I'm afraid. I just don't see how they could fit so much awesome onto one cleaning disc! :suspicion:
So this CD Cleaner just basically cleans the rims of the spinner or the entire thing? this should be a great addition to your next episode soon
My gosh... It really does have that seven brushes, one for every day of the week no doubt! Oh and for the record, I use a Mach 3 Turbo because it is red and looks faster than other razors! :encouragement: I've also found it tends to rust slower than my old twin blade disposables.
Never use disposable razors, they're crap. I also use the Mach 3 Turbo but only because I got a set with razor for free because a friend works for the Japanese distribution company that handles Gillette. Before that I used normal Mach 3. The vibration model is a load of bollocks too. Makes no difference and as for shaving cream / gel, well using warm water with hair conditioner is a lot cheaper and does the exact same job. Some say even just enough warm water is all you need. But back to the CD cleaner. All it does is clean the CD lens. No idea why it has 7 brushes on it. Maybe to give a much better finish?
Thank you. Since I'm not really a collector of Mega CD stuff I'll be selling it on soon. I only really bought it for an addition to my site.
