That's something for the serious collector: http://page16.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/u15101211 ...
Either someone who knows absolutely nothing about videogames buying a gift, or a cheapskate, or both.
Wow, hopefully no one will buy it as a gift, and seriously think that's a ps2... I can hear it now "mommy, why won't my socom game work?!?!"
Erm whats the problem? It's not like the guy is advertising it as a real PS2 , it abviously isn't a Playstation 2 and it is currently at 50 Yen and he hasn't used the word Rare at all. It's a nice clone piece for a collector to have just because it's so pathetic.
Oh, I feel sorry for kids that wake up on Christmas morning having asked Santa to please bring them a groovy games console. The grandparents reassured the parents they knew exactly what a "Ploystalion" looked like and the parents thought "alright, we'll let you get it for the kids if you are sure". Come the unvailing they have to appear all excited, but are crying internally. The parents realise something is wrong, yet the grandparents are dead chuffed they've brought so much joy and hours of fun to the household on the 25th. The children know they are in for ridicule from their mates who all got 360s and PS3s, but for the next few months they are playing a monochrome pocket watch in the shape of a PS2. How can the manufacturers live with themselves knowing this MUST have happened somewhere, to some poor kid?
The chances of making a mistake with that item are somewhere between slim and none. And maybe "slim" is too generous.
Bargain PS2 for a pound at poundland... I don't think so... Then again if the grandparents were going to spend only £10 then that machine is better then a pair of socks or something. I would have been over the moon if I got an electronic game of any type rather then clothes when I was a wee nipper.
This is another bad lcd game based on the design of a console or handheld, Add that to your Neo Double games DS ripoff and polystation PSP rip off. Makes me wonder who actually says yes to these ideas.
Owners of Chinese factories that can churn them out for little money and still make a reasonable profit on them. I've seen a PSP rip off that has replacable screen games which looked funny.
I forgot to mention this unit has some very nice packaging and the unit comes with a vertical stand as well! The vertical stand can be disassembled and stored in a compartiment at the bottom I will post some pics soon
Unit in the box side view back view of box front view of the unit with the tray/screen closed (yes it slides open and closes by pressing the eject button!) top view of the unit bottom view of the unit with the secret compartment showing the disassembled vertical stand. this compartment can also store the pad the stand the unit with the assembled stand
Easily. They're just trying to make a business. If people are dumb enough to buy it, then that's their fault, not the company that makes it. Besides, you know that if Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo could get away with doing the same thing then they would. How about the little kid that wakes up on Christmas morning to open his 360 and gets the ROD as soon as he turns it on?
I was in a mall next county and there was a booth setup hawking all sorts of crap, amongst other things a poor NES clone inside a playstation case. Mario was on screen and damn did it sound terrible. Shame the shop keep wasn't around or I'd lecture him on copyright infringement just to piss him off. Pretty sure the NES isn't covered by patents anymore but I'm sure Mario's copyright is still valid.
