Rareity VS Demand (in paticular on the Saturn with some N64 examples)

MEGA MAN 8 I can't find the Saturn version anywhere outside of Ebay for less than $50. Less for the Japanese Version also something I'm unable to find on Ebay. I've never seen a complete with Spinecard Rockman 8 on ebay either. US Version I can't find complete for less than Triple Digits. Is it that rare or just in demand by Mega Man fans for being the superior version?

It's one of those rare cases the Japanese version seems to be the cheaper one, The only other case of this I can cite would be the Japanese Mario Kart 64 being $14 VS near retail for a loose cart.

I'm sure I can think of a few other examples, Panzer Dragoon I and II used to be super cheap but US copies now go for $40-80 depending on condition. I think that's a case of Demand not rarity.

I know I'm missing several so you can all fill in the blanks and I'll check back after my History final.

 

I do think Mega Man 8 is probably less common on the Saturn than the Playstation, but I'd agree that the value is based more on demand. Mega Man's been shit on by Capcom so much lately that fans have to turn to older titles they may have originally pass on.

 

Mega Man 64 doesn't run that much. The X games however X2 and X3... YEESh BUT...if you get X3 and X4 for saturn you arn't bankrupting yourself (as much)

 

Yeah, it's gotta be bad if you have to buy a crappy game like MM8.

 

Really you don't like Mega Man 8? It's my Favorite right next to 3 and 5. With 2 extras boss battles, and better music the Saturn version is even better than the PS1 port I've been playing all these years on my XBOXes
