There's a Tristar for the N64 which has clone SNES and NES hardware on board. I've been vaguely after one for quite a while, it would be a nice curio item, but people seem to expect ridiculous prices for them.
rarest items are probably xbox 360 xdk debug kit grey with white sidecar and my dtl h30002 S ps2 debugging station which some of you may have hear i had for years and didnt realise apart from those i have pretty much standard fayre, maybe a sealed copy of rez for dreamcast but thats not amazing.
The rarest I have probabaly isn't worth too much. I got a FC-NES converter that's blue and has the nintendo power logo on it. I have no idea if it's official or pirates just ripped off their logo. It'd be nice if someone could provide any info on that.. Besides that I got a Saturn CDR of Bug! which appears to be from a month before retail, most likely sent out for review. I don't think there's any difference from the final but I don't have the original to know for sure.
I'm clearing out some of the old stuff slowly, but I still have: Radiant Silvergun (STV) Jaguar devkit (currently on loan...) Jeff Minter's old Jaguar devkit  Prototype Jaguar devkit Prototype JaguarCD x 2 (both dead, need to get new laser transports) I also released the Jaguar Total Carnage prototype to the guy who now sells repros of it, and still have a bunch of unreleased Jag protos, though the best are now being sold as repros... Still have a Set 5.24. Still have a DTL-H10000 (trying to sell it to raise funds for DTL-30000) Some Genesis dev stuff That's all I can think of now Stone
Seriously guys - (especially Ly-Colizer and Stone) how do you manage to come across this stuff? You could watch ebay all day every day and this stuff wouldn't come up. Even if it did it would be stupidly expensive. I'm guessing you guys have contacts in the game industry or work in it and find yourself presented with opportunities every now and then. All I'll ever be able to do is collect stuff that's considered mildly rare because it shows up infrequently on ebay - but was actually mass produced for example Jag AVP etc.. Ly-Colizer - I'm almost wetting my self, those paintings are sooo cool part of my childhood and perfect game room art. And Stone, the Jaguar being so close to my main interest, I'm fascinated to know how you got your hands on the stuff you have. Please PM me if you want to enlighten me but don't want to share your sources.
My rarest thing is the SNES CD...........JK Yeah I was thinking the same Mqark But I guess the secret is never to share your where you get the stuff from
Mostly it's being in the right place at the right time. I won one of the proto JagCDs as a raffle prize IIRC, and the same guy mentioned he had another one so I bought it off him...I also let it be known what sort of things I was interested in and people started offering them to me under the table, as it were  I never said it was cheap  Something like that. If you hang around the right people long enough it might happen to you as well! I got given a GDEV once... Incidentally, haven't I seen you on Yakyak? Stone
I have no special "sources" i just contacted the artists who painted them and asked if they were willing to sell the originals if they still had them. BTW: Bob Wakelin don't have any game artwork left.
I managed to get hold of a sealed wonderborg with game cart, not stupidly rare I beleive but im quite impressed anyway, just gotta stop myself from openning it now. DJH
I used to own TAROMARU, which is quite rare, but certainly available if you're willing to drop a pretty bill at any given time. Rendering Ranger is probably the rarest game I own today. But overall game-related rare? Probably my complete SUPER PLAY magazine collection, 1-47. I even have the super hard to find these days Gold Special issue, and 3 official SP binders. You can find a SP mag or two on eBay every now and again, but to find all 47 in the mint condition I have them in is very difficult. My Sega Saturn Magazine collection is up there, but I only have 4-37, missing the 1st 3 so I give the rarest edge to my prized SP set
Not a clue if it's rare or not, but a look through all those promos I've accumulated over the years, I discovered a debug version of Juiced back when it was due for release by Acclaim. Not found the time to get the old debug PS2 out and check up on it, so I'm not sure how early a version it is, but I do vividly remember writing up a preview for a now sadly perished website a few years back thanks to the code. Again, probably not at all rare, but it's one of the most intriguing bits I've got around here.
The rarest thing i own is probably a couple of Philips In2It handheld kids PDA's I also have a couple of korean Zemmix(Zemina) carts and a arabic cart for MSX However i also own a complete SD Snatcher and Metal Gear 2 for MSX , those i like the most
The rarest thing I have is a jumbo jar of Miracle Whip that has never been opened and is 13 years expired. Guaranteed one of a kind.
On the news they said someone turned in a can of whale meat to a local food drive. It was from the 50's or 60's !!!! Here you go poor people eat this !
Probably the rarest things I have and in no order Complete and unused PIPPIN Dev Kit with floppy dock, in the original box And as a Mario fan................ NR Disk - Mario Golf Toadstool Tour - Review build - PAL NR Disk - Mario Kart Double Dash - Internal build - PAL NR Disk - Super Mario Sunshine - Review - NTSC I was in the process of purchasing or looking to purchase a Panansonic Q and the matching game boy player and some other stuff and these became available Never seen before and doubt will ever see again so they could not be passed up on!!
xD omg...I would never give away my whale meat! Just think about how much it would be worth if the whales go extinct! ...that kinda reminds me of an episode of Futurama...
