rate my coloring

    i'm trying to get better at coloring sketches... so what do you think of this 2?

    The second drawing is really good! :nod: I wish I could colour... I'm still in monochrome... :p

    Looks good, I can't draw at all, let alone colour. My hand's aren't steady enough >.<

    Both look great. And I bet they looked good before colouring too.

    don't rely on tools to achieve better/fuller textures. Learn how colors interact, match and are effected by light conditions/shadows etc. I believe this is the basic painful thing every non amateur must go through in order to really get a grip on painting.

    Well done, did you draw those?

    On the second one, it looked like you used the burn tool to add shadows, correct? What ends up happening is that it tends to apply a bit unevenly. Try using the paintbrush to draw in the colors, then use the smudge tool with a stippled brush to smooth it out.

    interesting suggestion. i actually used an extra layer with overlay setting to get a similar effect for lights/shadows (i prefer to burn)... i think i should have increased the transparency.

    and no i can't draw at all sadly :( but i like to color beautiful art the artist's are too lazy to do themselves :D
