Recently picked myself up a Boxed like new DLT-H30002 Pal TEST ps2 thingy for 85 pounds (125 dollars i think)
Just curious and hoping somebody can tell me about how many Pal Test stations were made, or how many Test stations were made all together so i can get to grips with how valuable and rare this achine really is! :highly_amused:

Probably at least 100,000 units, it doesn't matter though because many of them no longer exist, they are retails with a different firmware loaded in the bios and Mechacon so they are subject to the same failures as a retail unit, they were also used more heavily than an average retail and were sold under a NDA but every publisher and major press outlet had them. It is more a case of few of them escaping Sony, I have seen more of these in the wild than Sega Nomads or Sega CDX units so they are fairly common if you know where to look.

If you want something rare on PS2 hardware try to get a DTL-T15000. (PS2TOOL with Performance Analysis, AKA the blue PS2 TOOL)
