I don't know, it's fine when you kill monsters or terrorists or even cops in a game, becasue those are just namless "bad guys" who all have the same texture-mapped face. They are not supposed to be "real" people. Same goes with running down innocent bystanders in a game. Just like in a movie where the car chase runs over a whole boy scout troop, it's not sickening. It's funny. In games like GTA I always aim for the bystanders. But a game where you "kill" a real person, who actually lived... I could see how that pushes the envelope. Not that I think you shouldn't be allowed to play or make games like this, but still, it's very bad taste at least. But DJ is right, nobody got mad when it was Ossama Bin Lauden getting shot in a game, but I'd venture to say that a terrorist mastermind who kills 3000 people gets his privacy rights taken away. A lot different than a game where you kill a former president who was beloved by millions. P.S. - JFK was the last president who had any balls. He stood up to the banks and the Military Industiral Complex, and that's why he's dead.
Antipasta, check out a movie called "Cemetary Man." It's about this gravedigger that works at a cemetary where people come back from the dead. He has to shoot them and rebury them to keep his job. There's a scene where these punks are riding thier motorcycles all crazy, then collide with a bus full of boy scouts and nuns who then plummet off a cliff and all die. It sounds disgusting, but it's funny. In that "toxic avenger" kind of way. As you can see, I like movies that deal with the lowest human common denominator.
what's the mather to shoot a ton of polygons named like an old us president? i mean , its a name linked to polygons! the most horrible thing in this is the actual price: 9.99$ erase the jfk name , stick Melany Duber Reloaded as the new name and voila! you have a game that no one will buy for 9.99! i mean, why would you pay 9.99 to kill a ton of polygon, when for the same price you can pick up quake 3 with is extension and kill TONS of polygons at the place? if you're lucky , maybe your openent will be named jfk, you never know! :smt045
