Someone just sent me this link via email... are these real? I hope not... but i have seen Habitrail Hamsterball before. http://www.phoenixgamesgroup.com/uk/playstation2a.html
 Car Wash Tycoon and Girl Zone are must own titles. If they were smart they'd make Girl Wash Tycoon. "working at the carwash...."
They look homebrew, very homebrew...but never the less if they are real, news to me, then again in Japan there is a budget publisher out there making games of almost the same level.
It is a low-budget game publisher producing games appropriate for kids 10 years and younger. Although this game is probably made for people who are into a certain fetish... http://www.phoenixgamesgroup.com/uk/games/furrytales.html I hope Disney doesnt see this title because it totally rips from some of their famous cartoons. Check out this game. the lion is a total rip from Disney's Robin Hood where the evil King in that film was a lion and the smiling bear looks like Babu.: And look at this one:
Some of them look a bit like flash games... I don't really see how these could be liscensed. If sony forced Working Designs out of buisiness over it's 2D rules, i don't see how this could fly... Oh, and my favorite is: Extreme Sprint 3010. It's an extreme sprinting game... god, shoot me now. I know what my friends are getting for their birthdays...
Hey Ace I was curious about the WD stuff. Can you elaborate? What was it about 2d that pissed Sony off?
Long story, and there are other threads that go into better detail, but one of the issues that caused WD to shut down was this goofy rule about 2D games on the PS2. Basicly any 2D game has to be part of a "collection", that's why growlancer was released as a 2 game set. It wasn't up to WD, sony forced them into that. That's just a quick generalization, the actual rules are far more complicated...
I think in general it was because 2D is "low tech" when compared to 3D and they don't want consumers to think the PS2 is underpowered or something along those lines. I had always though this was just a SCEA policy though, and not Sony in general. I could be wrong though. EDIT: Whoops, too slow. Nevermind.
Actually, that first game doesnt copy Robin Hood, it copies some movie called Bedknobs And Broomsticks. Also, the idea of playing soccer was in Bedknobs And Broomsticks, too. That movie was boring as hell.
Boring? Well I didn't find it boring when i was younger . Although now I probably would find that movie boring, but not the feature length cartoon movies. Anyway, I'm gonna forward that link to a fellow Disney cartoonist friend of mine..
Is it just me or does that bear near the bottom look like it's humping the pig  While ther hippo is feeling up the wildboar ! Yakumo
sicko's sad thing is..i want half of all those games...im a sucker for cheap box art and crappy game play Ryan
Extreme Sprint 3010, ROFL, a game about sprinting? yeah. where's "Going to the Toilet EXTREME" ? and by the way, the lion king looks extremely gay or more like a transvestite with that much purple in his face...
LMFAO.....The XS Racing game under their 8.99 section is real...i have the ps1 version of it...and its bad.........very bad Ryan
Upon further inspection, i'm pretty sure the lion just kicked the monkey in the nuts... Edit: Ok, i definately know some people who are getting these games for their birthdays... Why is this game the only one that sells for $50 on amazon? All the rest are $10-15 (prices are in USD because i don't have a key for pounds and i'm not about to pull up charmap). And also, why is it soccer, shouldn't it be football? Compare Animal Soccer World: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos...1341/sr=1-5/ref=sr_1_10_5/026-0076663-9118810 With the rest of their titles: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/search-handle-form/ref=s_vg_h__rs/026-0076663-9118810
