I don't see anything that says Nintendo here. Could be overseas model? Any thoughts on if this is an official product or not.
Just search "opening wiimote" in Google or Google Images and you'll find plenty of other pictures to compare it to.
Well this is a motion plus controller. Adding "plus" to your recomended search gets me 3 image results. 1 is a non plus controller youtube video and the other two aren't controllers at all.
http://www.nintendolife.com/forums/wii/a_glimpse_inside_the_wii_remote_plus Doesn't look quite like in those pics... that being said, there could be more than 1 hardware revision. What's the case for the controller look like?
The case looks original used but the buttons are all clearly new replacements. The case looks used and the buttons rubber pads etc are all new. Got them in bulk and they all fit that description. It all comes down to the board for me.
I have Wii Motion Plus controller I've been meaning to open up anyways (to fix), would it help if I sent you pictures of it when it's opened?
What you have there is a standard Wii remote that came with the console. For some reason the Wii remotes that came with the console were a little different than the Wii remotes you buy separately. This is one that came with the console. You also can't do the A button LED mod on those because the power solder points are different.
Thank you !! I bought these controllers in bulk and was curious why they were slightly all different from the ones I had here at the store. At first I wondered if they were prototypes. He won't admit it but I have long suspected that the seller had some sort of connection on the inside. This confirms it.
I did have some pics over here. https://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?55320-Wii-Remote-Plus-PCB-Board
Huh. The Broadcom chip is replaced by a Cambridge Silicon Radio chip for some reason. All of mine are Broadcom it seems. It also seems to have everything else necessary like a real board. A perfect fake or another, more rare revision? Thats the question...
