Shit, I never even noticed the paint chips... Should have just referenced my own... If i could find it
mh i'm confused. I have also the uk launchteam faceplate. But now, how can i know it is real or fake. My one has also madcatz at the inner surface and the print looks clear. Nothing chipped. offtopic: But i'd like to get the real (or copy off) --> *i made this* sweetest plate ever
The special faceplates are almost all third party. big or small run it would be expensive to buy official microsoft faceplates. This companies (legitimate or fakes) probably just buy blank white madcatz faceplates in bulk to keep costs down. considering everything is probably produced off site it gets expensive. even more expensive when your giving them away for free like the Launch 2005 one. Obviously this doesn't count for the Launch 2005 one because then they'd use official microsoft ones because they were ordered by microsoft? Maybe thats a way to tell whether launch ones are fake.
looks pretty legit... mine is a "official" one and seems like its painted. so chances are yours is real but probably a factory defect or whatever the case may be. i can take pics of mine when i get back home from holiday
The Dev Team, "I made this" faceplates were produced from M$ originals, I still have at least one, factory sealed, somewhere.
The site is gone, it was kindly hosted by a friend, but it cost money, so it had to go. ...BTW I love your jtag tools
