I recapped a MV-1 and I get no sound sound out from speaker connector nor jamma side, only headphone works. If someone hooked it up in stereo mode to Jamma, could it blow out one side of the amp? I did the 3/4 pin test on the ha13001 and got nothing, and it's stone cold. I did an output test of the 3016 1 Vdd 2 Gnd 3 Vdd 4 Gnd 5 serial data in 6 /serial clock in 7 SMP 1 8 SMP 2 9 ICL (reset or mute?) 10 Channel 1 out 11 Channel 2 out 12 COM 13 BUF 14 MP (connected to 15) 15 BC (connected to 14) 16 RB (For those reading later, pin one is the circle and pin count loops around in a "u" shape, so across from 1 is the last pin) I get sound on pin 10 / 11 ------------- I checked the individual amps Ba4558 Output pins are 1 and 7 --- After testing, two amps work fine, one doesn't work and one has only one channel (pin 7) working. I am checking the support components...
From the datasheet it looks like each one of those AMP ICs can handle stereo on its own. Probably is a blown transistor along the path way for the audio or something. http://wiki.arcadeotaku.com/images/e/e7/MV-1-Manual-partial.pdf Partial service manual that might help assuming you don't have one. Mentions right there not to connect a speaker to a specific point that I can't quite make out and on the sound output on the JAMMA side.... Apologies if this is useless.
