So what DS games would you recommend to kids below 13 (besides Pokemon)?

I would choose Elite Beat Agents. Period. Its got tunes for just about everybody, and the situations are just plain fun. If my 8 year old brother can kick butt and beat the game on Cruisin' mode. Then any other kid can make it.

Most DS games are aimed toward's children.....and most of them suck.

Can't go wrong with Tetris DS and the 2 Sonic Rush games

Every Kirby title on the system should go down well.

    ewwwww...
FIFA is horrible. FIFA on DS is even worse

I´d also recommend New Super Mario Bros, Kirby Canvas Curse (and the other one, fogot the name).

EDIT: It was called Kirby: Squeak Squad

Nintendogs will keep them busy for hours. Mario Kart and New Super Mario Bros. are good choices, too.

Depends if they are for boys or girls, i have a 9yr old son and a 5yr old daughter and both of them have DS's

My son mostly plays platformers and RPGs, Pokemon, Mario, Sonic etc, however my daughters tastes are completly different, mostly the 'Pet' Sims for which there is a huge amount to choose from, Nintendogs being the most common, but she also likes Cooking mama, anything Barbie, High School Musical (which drives me nuts!!)

For younger ones, there are a series of 3 interactive storybooks, which i find are excellent, as not only do they read a story to you, but helps with handwriting skills, reading etc. there is also a Crayola game which is great for little coloring in moments

The list really does go on, but theres a few above i would recommend off the top of my head
