    Hi folks.
    I got an hdtv, but i feel like when using vga, the display gets to stretch when playing 4:3 mode.
    My desktop tft monitor displays the dc vga signal with a black bar on the left side of the screen. I tried to adjust the sizes but no luck.
    I'm pissed off... i feel like buying another monitor, but these days it's hard to find one that isn't widescreen and inexpensive.
    So I'm asking you guys, what's the best solution for me? And no.. I don't want a crt one.

    The display options I have for VGA are: "4:3(Original)" and "16:9"
    If I use scart, etc, I get more options like "zoom1", "zoom2", etc.

    While playing PSO for instance:
    "4:3(Original)" --> thiner chars
    and "16:9" --> fatter chars

    hmmm... after re-reading the posts, I'm not sure anymore what you prefer/want :)
    4:3 = the original format = good, no ? or is the 4:3 distorted ?

    Following the previous example:

    "4:3(Original)" --> thiner chars
    and "16:9" --> fatter chars

    I want -->normal sized char
    I mean this because before buying this hdtv, I used to have an LCDtv which was 4:3 and the chars were ok, everything looked as it supposed to.

    LOL yesterday I was messing around with nulldc on my hdtv and I found out the screen option to make it look awesome without those black bars with the correct aspect ratio for both 4:3 and 16:9! Someone can delete this thread!! Hahah !!

    4:3 is the standard ratio for Dreamcast output so that should look normal?

    Until I discovered how to get rid of the two black borders (2 to 4 cm each more or less) the 4:3 looked slimmer than the default outputted 4:3 aspect ratio.
