From a faq on the Technical Reference disc dated september 2001 (DTL-S4023):

Later in the document, there is a question about the differences between Japanese and American/European debugs with the following models(look at The many unusual types of TEST ps2 thread):
Does this mean that the dtl-h30001/2 have only 32MB of RAM?
A lot of people, myself included, are claiming the debugs have 64 MB, can anybody prove it?
The specs of the debugs may be on the official sony dev website, can someone check?
What about the others models, dtl-h3010x ?

I found a post in sce.pub.announce newsgroup (still on the tech ref disc) regarding the presentation of ps2 games at E3 2000 and the differences between the dtl-t10k and the h10k debug,128MB vs 32MB, what about the other debug models?
