Hey guys, Got myself a Pal Mega CD II unit. Just wanting to try out the different BIOS using my everdrive cart. i just get a blank screen when I use Russell-region-free-cd-bios.bin file. i have tried a few different ones but still get a blank screen once run. Any ideas on getting this going?

Thanks for that but I think the link is dead. I found a bios on Krikzz web page so I am good to go now.
If the bios file is meant to be burnt on a EPROM (I think that's the case with the Russel PAL-MEGA-CD bios) it won't work on Everdrive because it will be byteswapped. :thumbsup:
cd bios loading wrok properly on the carts with firm v12 or more new, probably your cart has more old firmware
KRIKzz, I have Sega Multi-Mega PAL-Asia. Japan region games working on it. With your Russell-region-free-cd-bios.bin most of games works fine, but the Silpheed doesn't. Can I load on MDEverdrive PAL BIOS? And where can I find it?
It for unknown for me reason plays only Japan region games. So I'm patching ISO region to Japan before burning CD-R. But yesterday I've bought Silpheed PAL(UK standart), and it didn't play when I'm loading free-cd-bios. After I've try my Silpheed.iso PAL in which I've changed region to Japan, and without free-cd-bios - it wirks fine, with free-cd-bios it doesn't work. So can I load PAL bios on EverdriveMD and run the game?
so try to load pal bios and you will see if it works or not. original bios images available in goodgen romset
