So I built this Dreamcast for a buddy of mine. He just wanted a region mod and he told me to surprise him with the paint job. It came out better than I expected so I figured you guys on here might get a kick out of seeing it.

Nice. I like it. Wish I had that now if for nothing more than the paint job...

I used Dupli-Color Fabric and Vinyl dye. "Vinyl Blue" and "Gloss Black"

I absolutely love using Vinyl Dye. It's to the point where I only want to paint something if the color I want is available as Vinyl Dye.

It dries hard and fast. You can seriously handle and reassemble the pieces after less than 10 minutes. With regular paint or even Krylon Fusion, it can take days before the tacky feeling goes away. I painted this today and after an hour I had it reassembled.

Hey yeah, the dust problem is probably due to the glossy black finish. I really hate glossy black usually because of the dust and fingerprint problem. I've modded a few consoles using the flat black vinyl dye. Fingerprints and dust don't seem to be an issue with the flat black. Of course you'll get dust after a while, but you can just dust it off no problem. Here's a video someone did about one of my flat black consoles.

Yeah it's a weird place to put the stereo jack. That console was the only console I did that way. I guess I just wanted to do something different.
