[RELEASE] Dark Cloud (Sample Movie Disc)

That's a nice gift for the few fans of Dark Cloud out there.
Unfortunately it's just a demo movie disc, nothing too interesting.

Unfortunately there aren't much information about something else out there (I wish).
There is the NTSC-J Demo but from what I saw there isn't difference with the retail version

 

Yeah the demo's are pretty much the same as retail. I checked the items that are in retail vs the demo's (across all regions) and found no differences. Interestingly though, the NTSC-J version has a few urn-related items but the NTSC-U/PAL versions do not.

 

If these urn-related items are the same that I think (weapon's attachments) they can be obtained in the NTSC-J retail version as well (iirc).
The interesting thing is that the demo seems to be quite complete if you watch it's size.
There is a time counter in the demo but I'm pretty sure that it can be disabled with PS2dis, although that's beyond my current knowledge.

VLC can play the video file contained in the disc, however it will not play it correcly.

 

Just realized that I haven't updated the OP for it, however I've released the
Dark Cloud RPG Taikenban - Japanese Store Demo/Promo as well: https://archive.org/details/PAPX90501DCF.7z
Basically it's pretty much the retail version with a timer and the Save option disabled.
Dark Cloud is an unknown game for the most but in my opinion it's a true hidden gem.
For the same reason anything pre-retail seems non existant outside Level-5 itself.

 

Cool. Looks like an ocarina of time clone with much better graphics.
