A while back I upgraded my PC with a SSD but before that I copied my OS and files over to it from the previous installed HDD. I have since wiped Windows from the old HDD and I thought the computers registry too but it seems I have not. Can anyone shed some light how I can stop my Win 7 (no, I don't need this PC to be Win 10) from showing two boot options upon start up? Thanks
Don't really know if this still works (used a long time ago), but check it out: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/210983-dual-boot-delete-os.html Also found this, seems easier: https://neosmart.net/wiki/remove-dual-boot-menu/ Since it changes MBR, make sure you are selecting the exact entry you want to remove.
msconfig boot tab should do the trick shouldn't it? There's also System Properties > Advanced tab > Startup and Recovery > Settings where you can set the delay so you don't see the menu
There's plenty of articles online to help you achieve that... btw it's usually called "dual boot", not twin boot. Might help you get more relevant results. Follow what Pikmin posted. Also here's another relevant tool: https://www.boyans.net/
That can cause issues, if you go messing around with other things that add to the BCD, acronis for example
