I'm trying to make selfbootable some dreamcast dumps, but I can't remove the protection even using the programs I used with some other gd-r dumps, ( in order to make it boot on a normal CD instead of a GDR).
The console reboots after the sega " under license of sega enterprises... bla bla" screen.
Anyone here has a little more experience in that?

What for a selfboot program are you using? Do you try to make a proper GDR dump selfbootable or just a RIP you have downloaded somewhere? If so, what game you are trying?
Give me some more informations, I can probably help you with this.

I suggest tyou to use the data/data 45000 LBA technique, that way you can save a lil' space, and you get around LBA protection. Shenmue2 only boots this way when you make a backup of it.

At first I had them in GDI format ( the header ) with the track01.bin track02.raw and track03.bin

I extracted the track03.bin stuff ( the whole game ) and put them in a folder and modified the IP.BIN and 1st_read.bin in a lot of possible ways.
With programs like binhack and such, even ipwriter to set the devce as a cdrom1/1 and stuff, then I made a cdi image with bootdreams and it boots until the sega licensing screen and then the console resets or in some other modification tries I did it just went to the bios menu....

You shouldn't really create CDs from GD-ROMs using homebrew-related tools like BootDreams; booting Katana-based games is different. It sounds to me the problem you're having is:

    1. You're scrambling the 1ST_READ.BIN, which you don't do for Katana stuff, as binhack takes care of that for you in the IP.BIN, or
    2. Your data track is not at the correct LBA that you used in binhack, or
    3. The game actually has a copy protection, in which case this will be a lot harder to figure out.

If you let us know which games you're dealing with that could provide some insight to what the situation might be.

Hmmmm, basically sonic adventure versions, 1 and 2.
BINHACK IS for use with the IP bin only right?
Then what tools shpuld I use to make an iso once I patch the IP.BIN with bin hack, also which hacks should I use on it?
