Hi, I did some googling and couldn't see anything about this being a known issue, so I thought I see if anyone else has experienced this. With Rendering Ranger - any dump (I've tried them all - the vanilla flavor, H1C, H2C, T1, even the supposed bad one), the game will intermittently not load on my Super Everdrive. This wouldn't be a huge deal if it was only going to a black screen after the Virgin logo, but it also does this between stages occasionally - and in a game where high score matters, it's not very cool to have to use stage skipping cheats to complete the game. Has anyone else experienced this? Krikzz, any thoughts?
unfortunately i have no any idea about what is that and how to fix it. may be region incompatibility problem
Probably not - it's NTSC with no copy protection measures whatsoever. The closest thing I could find online to people having issues with the game was with SNES9X - the game wouldn't load past the Virgin logo because the SPC700 sound in the game required custom timings from the sound processor.
.....and, solved. The intermittent loading only seems to happen on my Pokefami DX, and not on my real SNESes. Looks like it's a clone compatibility problem only. Thanks.
Sorry I don't want sound like a jerk, but don't you think letting us know you were trying to play it on your Pokefami DX from the start would have been kind of important information?
Don't take this the wrong way, but when you use pirate/unofficial clones of any system, you should assume any problem could be the fault of the pirate hardware, as it often is. Clone systems are usually garbage. Rarely they might be "acceptable". But nothing is a true replacement for original hardware.
no offense taken! the pokefami DX is actually a really awesome little portable and Rendering Ranger is the first game I've had any kind of "game breaking" problems with (not counting the SA-1 will they won't they dance.)
apologies. i thought i'd mentioned that. additionally, i was on the train when i discovered the problem, so i wanted to see if anyone else had heard of this rather than fretting about it all day at the office.
