I have RenderWare For PlayStation 2 Installed and I was wondering how to use it. I was going to test the viewers with wrldview_sky2.elf and when I read the manuals. it said to load the elf with a file for it to execute. E.G "world.bsp" The manual said to use a file called pc-ps2d.exe to do so. Well I tried to and it didn't work. Perhaps i'm not using it correctly or I'm supposed to be using something else, maybe codewarriors IDE? Is there a GUI that I can use to make the world and assets with renderware? And how do I actually use it to export finished ELF files. Thanks For Your Time... Joshua
Renderware used to have a set of plugins for Maya, 3D Studio Max, etc. to export data in a format compatible with its rendering pipeline, with additional options to optimize the data for a particular platform. You need to install Maya (or other 3D design software) and the appropriate plugins to generate the bsp (and other) data. Alternatively you can handcraft some tools to do the same, using the documentation that explains the format of their binary asset files. By the way, what version of Renderware for PS2 do you have?
hmm, do you know where I could find a copy of Maya 4.5 or 3dsMax 5? The version I have is 2018 lol. Thanks!
