Repair Dreamcat Vibration Pack

    My vibration pack was gradually losing power and now it doesn´t work, I guess if i change the vibraton part with one from playstation can i fix the official vibraton pack?

    Never heard of it. My guess is that the motor fried. Finding another small motor rated for the same voltage should do it.

    never had it bottom-out on power, but i have replaced the motor on one before.
    a playstation pad motor should suffice, check dimensions/rates first, and use existing dreamcast motor padding too. (i used a motor from a smashed dual shock ps1 pad)

    reason for replacement was:
    i don't know how they did it, but the last owner managed to TILT the bore off-axis, the weight was hitting the vibration card housing.
    the bearings were smashed (don't ask me) and the rear of the bore was grinding/offset.

    the issue has been resolved long ago. :smile-new:
    check the continuity of the power-out to the motor, just to eliminate it as faulty. (hoping just the motor, easy fix if it is)
    if not, apologies on that!
    did search, but all i seem to find is unboxing videos and references.
