    Hey guys,

    I have this cable http://www.ebay.ca/itm/PS2-Monster-...443061?hash=item35fa3b1675:g:ZQUAAOSwFMZWriGF

And it being a monster brand cable, naturally it gets a death grip on any input it touches. Well I bought them second hand and it seems the white/blue audio cable had enough and the wires broke off.

I figure repairing it would be easy enough, right? Just resolder the wires to the ground and line connectors and I'm good to go! But somehow, no matter how many times I try, I simply cannot get good results.

Basically no matter what, everytime I repair it, I get a loud humming sound with very low volume audio coming from that end of the cable. And when I connect the red audio cable as well, the humming stops, but the audio from the white/blue side is still very low.

I'm going crazy. Obviously there's something I'm missing or doing wrong. Any ideas?

Practical to repair? Or should I just replace? $10 cable we're talking about.
