Replace Dreamcast Battery For Under $5

    The guide you linked uses a non rechargeable battery - which is dangerous.

    Your guide uses a lithium, which I wouldnt recommend as theres no protection against overcharging in the DC charging circuit.

    Correct replacement to use is the ML2032.

    Thanks for the update, I agree with the link using a non rechargeable battery being dangerous and have removed the link. I linked the LIR2032 as that was recommended by others, however, after doing some research, you are correct in regards to charging protection, thank you for the information I'll fix this up

    I also sell the battery holders, but its only really economical if you are already ordering other parts (like the region free bios!), as shipping makes it expensive

    Got the batteries but still seem to be waiting on the housings, the seller claims it could take 25-60 days so I'm not too worried about it as long as I can get them this year :p
