Any 80mm fan works with some modding, you dont need to do the 12v mod, its only needed if you want to run the fan at 100% all the time , but you can achieve the same thing with a modded xbox by tweaking the bios.

http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/stealth-case.php or http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/80mm-fan.php just ignore the "Using "12v fan mod" method:" section as taping the ground wire to the side of the case is not ideal, rather run a molex to fan converter from the hdd power.

Bust out a handy-dandy dremel and mod the HDD tray and 80mm fan to fit. Test everything to make sure it fits before strapping the fan to the case (like I didn't do and thus had to sand down the DVD tray, too). I don't think think the 12v mod is necessary unless you want it to be louder. The 80mm fan at standard speed will move more air.

Best mod ever. My $20 Xbox media player went from being the noisiest thing in my room to quieter than my slim 360.

If you have a v1.0 xbox, I recommend replacing the GPU fan with a better heatsink . This was the only model with 2 fans, GPU and case.
