Posted this in the wrong section.......again

I feel as though Alpha 3 is the Real Street Fighter III even though the Alpha Anthlogy gives you the impossible task of Beating Final Bison in one shot it's still awesome.

Even the first game has high points

Not that I dislike Street Fighter III, 2nd Impact or 3rd strike I just feel the Alpha games offer more of what we're used to while building on it.

That said should I bother with Zero 3 Double Upper/Alpha 3 max for PSP while I arleady have Alpha Anthlogy and Alpha 3 on Dreamcast?

Personally I preferered SF Zero 2 Alpha... but thats just me. SFZ3 seemed to add too much to the game that it made it more a learning exercise rather then a game and that stupid announcer makes me want to punch the machine...

Pretty much the same for me. SFA2/SFZ2A I prefer over SFA3.

Anyways I think SF3 series is the top series followed by alpha 2 then alpha 3 then the rest (i dont like sf2 that much, i got anoyed by it).

3s all the way. It's far better than the alpha games in my opinion.

Thing about SFIII is the characters just don't stand out like SFIIs

Over all I would say the Character Selection in SF3:3rd is probably of the best around (sure as hell beats out SF2 imo).

SFA3 just has way to many different characters thrown in which makes it play not as well as SFA2.

The Zero/Alpha series of streetfighter is prequels to some extend of SF2, so the SF3 is the sequel.

Never played SF3 that much (which is a shame...)

    Of the Zero series, SFZ2A >> SFZ2 >> SFZ3 >> SFZ

I am loving Alpha 2 gold and the inclusion of Cammy just makes the deal sweeter.

Capcom used to make some damn good fighters.....what happend?

SFIII I just stick to Gouki and Ken, Chun Li and Mokoto. SO yeah 1 CHARACTER that's new I can use Yun but not well and Ibuki is so weak she's useless and Every time I try to Use Alex I get my ass beat.

Practice makes perfect :p But I must agree Ibuki and Sean were near top tier in III and 2nd impact but got toned down in 3s. No character is useless if you know how to use them ;-)

Street Fighter Zero/Alpha is waaaay better than SF3. I'm pretty sure most felt that way seeing as how CPS3 went into the trash while CPS2 lived on. I don't get the appeal of SF3. SFA just plays so much better. Oh yes and I forgot to mention SF3 3rd Strike's music is AWFUL! I mean wtf, it makes Marvel Vs Capcom 2's shitty music look good!

Yes, Zero3 is better than SF3 ultimately and I reckon the best in the series. They should have added Mike Haggar though. Hwoooooorrroooo!

Capcom sure are taking their time releasing Zero4.

They need to make Zero 4 is high definition with even more animation for everything. Maybe it'll be after SSF2T HD or whatever it's called.

Bah, Hell no. Parring system and much better animated sprites of SF3 make it better. :p

Also SF3:2nd has the better music out of the sf3 series (3rd was nice when played on a real arcade but the music is not as great in the ps2/dreamcast versions).

Tho I will admit, after so many sf2 games I was discusted with the series and would not play it anymore untill SFZ1 which actualy got me back into the series again.

You are right about that! Truley awful... Double Impact and 3rd Strike don't have the atmosphere like the previous games have.
Street Fighter Alpha 3 on Dreamcast... Oh man how much I played that...
It has all my favorite characters, the ISM's to play with, the game modes... My favorite game for the Dreamcast :)

I have yet to play SFIII actually, which is odd considering how many SF games I have.

I will say that I I disliked SFA3's music (much preferred SFA2s...which were mainly from the SFII series anyway) so if SFIIIs is apparently worse....oh noes! Also they introduced one of my preferred characters (T.Hawk) into the Alpha series in SFA3 but made him suck. :(

The superior amount of animation in characters is nice, so is the parring thing. But it just doesn't really feel like street fighter to me. And again, I think the market spoke for the majority that the SFZ/SFA series was much better than SF3. I almost never played SF3 because when I started up SF3 Third Strike on dreamcast it had crappy rap music. SF3 isn't so bad though if you avoid 3rd strike. Still I'd much rather have SFZ3 or SFZ3 Upper.
