Sorry if I'm making a mistake posting this here, but after all the recent trouble, I thought the last thing you guys needed is crap from Capcom:

    anyways,

I saw this on a Megaman fansite:

    http://protodudesrockmancorner.blogspot.com/2009/11/auction-custom-us-wily-wars.html

and just wondering, does anyone here know where to get the custom art, label (or hell, even the manual!) The fansite said that someone here once claimed ownership of the custom works.

I recently found a MMWW reproduction on eBay for 25 bucks, now I want to know how to make this (or I would even pay someone to do it)

Sorry to ask again (to be honest, I already have a real MD version of the European WW, but since it's a collector's item, I would like to have a cheap copy for everyday use/to knock around)

    Thanks for your time.

It's very easy to make repro covers if you have a bit of skill and something like photoshop. The net is full with images that you could use. Even the instructions are easy to make if you have the time.

The cartridge sticker is probably gloss paper applied with spray glue. As for the actual cartridge, well that's the tricky part. You'll need an EPROM writter and blank cart (home made probably).

does anyone know where to get such scans. Remember, the cart is in the bag, but the problem is that it is only a blank black Genesis cart, so other than the game, everything else has to be created. Thanks

Just use Google. Here take a look.

I made this in 5 minutes in photoshop. Yeah, a bit of a mess but that's because it was a 5 minute effort.

Just Google for Mega Drive Rockman Wily Wars and Genesis cover then find what you want and edit them together in an art program. As you can see, this cover was originally Shadowrun. If I was making this cover for myself I'd have made an effort to make it look legit. It's really not that hard. Take a look at this Chinese pirate cover that I'm working on.

Getting images for this game is impossible so I made my own by using screen shot scans and cartridge scans then came the hard work in getting a little odd shaped cartridge scan to look good combined with screen shots and enlarged.

The manual you'll probably have to copy from the Euro game and replace with the US style cover.

    UPDATE!: http://cgi.ebay.com/Megaman-Wily-Wa...temQQptZVideo_Games_Games?hash=item19b95d5657

Found it in my history ;)

Theres actually reproduction US Genesis carts of Wily wars with similer cover art and black and white manual with genesis logo!

The carts are real and have a real genesis sticker and art and everything! Very nice work. One was on ebay about a week ago and went for like 70$ USD I think! I had it on my favorites but pulled it like a week ago :(

If you just want the cartridge those are really pretty easy to make. If you want to print up a cover insert, manual, label, that adds to it. Making a cartridge label isn't that hard. Really I'd say if you pay more than about 40$ you're probably getting screwwed unless it's complete, box with insert, manual, and label all looking very professional. If you can handle it yourself you could probably build your own for something like 15$ or 20$.

I made a couple of them. Once you do one repro, the rest are easy. But I find they aren't very cost efficient for just playing games.

oh yeah, the beautiful thing is that unlike the original prints (euro and japanese) this one would not have the region lock, so no need for the game genie, action replay or converter. That would also mean I can actually play it on my Genesis 3 and my Nomad.

The thing that is killing me is that damn manual. Using Yakumo's advice, a friend was able to help me make the label and box, but no one knows what template was used for the manual...

Yes I released a patch awhile back that allowed the European version to run on US systems as well as use SRAM instead of SEEPROM. Infact that could have something to do with the increase in reproductions going around. I would guess that when the only option was to find a donor with the same SEEPROM saving it was alot harder for people to build them but with SRAM saving it becomes very simple.
