Just looking for alternative builds (demo, trial or any released beta of either the original or the complete version) as I've been pulling stuff from retail copies of CODE: Veronica X/Complete and was able to put back together a cutscene (a variation of the "Greetings" cutscene between Claire and Wesker on Rockfort Island).

I would like to see if there were any of the files that were blanked/removed from the retail versions still existing in some other possible builds of the game as I know for a fact that there was more voice acting that was cut after speaking to both voice actors for Claire and Wesker previously.

If anyone could point me in the right direction or to some possible download links, that would be great. :)

Do you know the code veronica trial for dreamcast? Maybe you'll find something on the disc.

Thank you mate, I thought there was one but couldn't recall if I was imagining things or not. I'll have a look and see if I can either find it online or fish a physical copy to dump from.

Main reason I got curious was that I fished out some unused audio from a cutscene and put it back together out of the PAL PS2 copy of CVX. The audio was all lumped individually numbered and flagged to be used in this part of the game, so I put it back together in the file order it was in. Wesker's sunglasses can be turned on and off in the cutscenes too and the same cutscene has the same option to do so, figured I'd include the footage with it modified as most people haven't seen it with him not wearing them.

I hadn't seen the cutscene put back together online before despite people having previously ripped the full version of Alexia's song, so I put it back together. *Shrug*

Thank you mate, I'll have a poke around and see if I can fish out anything that can be rebuilt.
It depends as to whether or not whichever build has been made available online like the two Rewak has mentioned. If it's the same as those then I don't particularly need it - I'm not really collecting Biohazard/Resident Evil stuff at the moment aside from a few select items.

I've just had people nagging me elsewhere to check other builds to see if I can find other unused content and put them back together as I have a general idea (thanks to Wesker and Claire's voice actors) of content cut from the retail versions to look out for and where particular lines of voice over work would belong and I haven't checked the Trial Versions previously.

I know I checked the original CODE: Veronica and recall finding stuff not used in-game off the DreamCast copy which is currently in storage so I don't have access to check the files from my own discs at the moment but, the issue is that I can't recall exactly what was in that particular retail release other than there being some extra character shouting sounds and additional death scene sounds.

    There were only two playable public demos of CV (and none of CVX), so if you downloaded two then those are probably all there is;

The Japanese which came with Bio2 Value+ and also distributed by itself (same disc in both cases):

The European, which came on standalone disc as well as French and British DreamOn samplers:

    Thank you for confirming that.

Anyway, I'm currently poking around either ones in the Prototopia uploads. Not really sure if I'll find anything else I can currently use or not. There were unused animations and some other crap floating around in CVX but I haven't figured out where exactly these animation sets were supposed to be used.

Thanks, though this appears to be the same as the other Trial Edition versions which are seemingly the same build.

I'm still poking around at the moment, if I find or can put anything useful back together from whatever I dig out of the builds. All things considered, I need to rebuild a particular file for the Battle Game in CVX as for whatever reason, Wesker is using Chris' sound effects but Gun Survivor 2 has a full set of audio sound effects recorded from Richard Waugh but are actually being used for Rodrigo!

Yea I noticed that most of the DC stuff came from my betas in the protopia project. Nice to see my work preserved. A lot of it is still here on the forums under atreyu187 and some seems to have been archived from the Dccm project with me and MILF

Alrighty, thank you for the links guys.

I had a bit of a poke around through some of the files of the Japanese Biohazard - CODE: Veronica Trial Edition and mainly fished out:

    1. A few unused/unreleased music tracks.
    2. Some unused/beta voice over samples for sound effects (security item deposit box, self destruct sequence) having been voiced by Lynn Harris (Rebecca Chambers in RE1) - I have voice reel demos of her to further prove that it's her. Unused Voice Over
    3. There are some alternative takes for injuries and for a couple of cutscenes for instance, Chris' injuries on the ground after Wesker threw him into the stasis tank have a couple of alternative files for it.
    4. There are multiple alternative takes of Alexia's and/or "Alfrexia"'s laugh.

I have yet to check programming or test animations, camera angle options, character textures, models and other room file options.

I will likely do this down the track but there are multiple blanked audio files within the voice over files some of the numbers match up to additional lines in the Complete/CVX version of the game and some are still blanked between the two so unless the European Trial Edition/Demo Version magically has them (I don't have a copy of it on hand physically or digitally to check).... Then there's still stuff missing that could turn up if other builds surface.

I am currently organizing the music from the following:

Biohazard - CODE: Veronica Trial Edition
    Biohazard - CODE: Veronica
    Biohazard - CODE: Veronica Complete
Biohazard Gun Survivor 2 - CODE: Veronica
Resident Evil - CODE: Veronica X (Europe)

Into an unofficial soundtrack release, tracks in Gun Survivor 2 that are on the retail soundtrack have a few minor differences (I have checked against the original CV soundtrack and the CV Complete soundtrack to personally confirm this) and will be included but the tracks from the other builds listed are all either: different to the retail soundtrack version/unreleased or are unused versions. :)
