(Request) Any Spyro, Croc or Ape Escape betas.

Basically as subject says. Would pay for them even.

 

A Croc beta on Saturn or PSX is floating around if I am not mistaken? Not heard of any Spyro or Ape Escape ones.

Betas of these games really interest me, and a game like croc from my childhood is no exception.

Nope, but trust me, i wish. Ive also been looking for that. Id pay for it even. I had a "Bounty" up on other beta forums. I met someone who claimed to have it, he was not going to sell it. I tried to reason with him but he told me off. He proved he had it too. I hate stingy people like that.

I was prepared to pay $1000.

Its times like those when a beta that people had for years but were stingy and not released it, leaked so we can laugh at them for now having a worthless copy. Ala Resident evil 1.5, and now croc.

I met people before with these croc protos, they were stingy and said they wont release it. Jokes on them right?

 

Who was it that had it? Lemme know in PM if you can. I'm kinda doubting they did, though. Really really doubting... How did they prove it, anyway?

$1000 is way too low to be honest. I can see why they wouldn't accept that. Being a Rareware title, and completely unreleased, it could definitely get more than that.

 

There were a few Ape Escape demos released in 1999 before it was completely finished.

One of Pizza Hut's demo discs features it, and that demo seems to be the earliest build publicly available (unless maybe there was an E3/TGS/Japanese-only demo), it was also featured on a PlayStation Underground demo disc (although I'm not sure if it differs in content from the Pizza Hut demo).

 

Well its a forum i was banned on, so i've got absolutely no way to contact them, either way, i don't remember their username.
They said $1000 was cool, but they were not releasing it because the previous owner "Strictly forbid it".
They proved it by just pictures, but ive never seen those shots before. Sadly, the thread on BA was also wiped clean, probably one of the fool admins purge jobs for unused threads. Shame.

If they thought $1000 then it was likely fake. No one that owns it would let it go for such a low price. I wonder what the chances are those pics came from that 30 minute PR video that was released some months ago.

 

They were clear pictures, not from the fuzzy old video.

Anyways, Bramsworth, ive given you credit on the site i just posted, but as for Felisity she is offline so i cant get her to edit her post on BA.
Anyways, if you join betaarchive, be wary. They are highly cruel to new members. Thats how i got banned in the first place. Not to mention that every moderator there is rude and if your topic is non relevant they make no hesitation and rudely and simply say "Pointless, Locked."
So be careful on that site. Lol. You would be better off simply asking about that, then leaving.

 

I already can tell they're a bit elitist, I can't post without it needing to be approved. =p

Kind of ironic it's this kind of "elite forum" attitude that made me leak this to begin with. And now a site that archives beta leaks is pulling the same stuff. It just never ends.

 

Im always like that. I tried to settle into other forums but it never worked. I was happy on BA until one of the moderators flat out called me a moron and locked my topic.

I called Him a POS and got IP banned. Tried to get around the banned and got banned again, this time getting the rude ban reason of: "Because You cant take a hint, We dont want You here. Be Gone!"

The biggest thing that started it was, I made a topic and was asking the question about my computer. He simply said something along the lines of: "You are obviously a moron if You cant figure this out..."
Then locked it. I PM`d Him, called Him a POS, then got banned. Lol.

 

If you were saying some of the same stuff your friend did in that Spyro beta topic I can sort of understand where they're coming from haha. She didn't show any remorse and kept calling that guy greedy

Anyway I've sort of made your topic go off course. Though if it weren't for this topic I probably wouldn't have thought to release anything to begin with. It was just seeing the offer for money and considering anyone else that may have had it possiblly taking advantage of that... would like to avoid stuff like that if possible

Good luck finding protos of the other two. I should replay them someday, been so long I've mostly forgotten them.
