    Ola chaps

Some time ago a [Bananabreak] member passed a dump for me to release on their behalf of Deer Avenger (DA3) for the Sega Dreamcast.

Due to the anonymous nature of Bananabreak, I will not disclose the member's name, however I do have another issue: I cannot recall the members name even if I wanted to - I perioodically purge all PM's and e-mails from my inbox in case my account ever get compromised.

The reason I didn't post the files immediately was because I was trying to pace releases to maintain a steady flow. Unfortunately I've had several Hard Drive Deaths since then and the data is long since gone. I do have the feeling I have have burned the files to DVD and copied them onto a machine running Windows 98, but that has since been disassembled, which means I've got hundreds of disks to check through one at a time so I'd better get started!

The few details I do recall is that it was a Windows CE port of a PC game and that 0winceos.bin was missing, meaning that in all probability the game would never boot any more.

However as the files were pulled from a Katana dev kit, it is reasonable to assume that the majority of the files were optimised to run on Windows CE and with a substantial amount of time, effort and skills a new one could have have possibly been written from scratch by someone crazy enough to do so.

If you're out there and you're reading this, let me know and I'll endeavour to triplicate and share the files sooner rather than later!

EDIT: I found the remnants of several old development PC's and a stack of around two dozen HDD's. Time to get digging around. I also have hundred's of CD-R and DVD-R to sift through so wish me luck :p

0winceos.bin it just WinCE OS, you can generate thise file in Windows CE SDK or take it from another WinCE game.
for boot this game you need gamename.exe file

I can't remeber the details of why it didnt work only that it didnt at the time but cheers for the bump ;)

I've not had much luck with finding the files yet. I searched a bunch of discs and chucked anything which can be binned to save covering the same ground again. I haven't got around to digging through the rest of my stash yet though so there is always hope I can find the backup and this could work.

From what I've seen of the PC version, it probably sucks though.
