Hi everyone, I need some of the SGI versions of the N64 OS - 2.0H, 2.0I, 2.0J and 2.0L. If you have the corresponding SDK, that would be great too. I'm also interested in anything pre-2.0H, but the three above are my priorities. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

It was at least, to my understanding, that the Nintendo 64's were programmed using IRIX and a u64 board. they probably exist somewhere, but i've yet to find any IRIX installation media, only vague descriptions of a torrent that existed of Version 1 of the OS.

Yes, that was one way to program an N64, but it could also be done using the Partner-N64, or 3rd party devkits on either SGI IRIX machines or a PC.

In any case, there are two sets of OS's - the SGI versions and the PC versions. There are a few versions of the N64 OS floating around - most are the PC versions, and a couple are the SGI IRIX versions, but not the particular releases I'm looking for.

Care to explain the reason for looking at those specific versions?

I'd prefer not to, but if you have anything to share that would be great.

I have something here labeled N64 OS 2.0K and it seems to be for SGI, but I'm not sure if it is what it says to be... do you have anything I can go by to check?

Unfortunately not (aside from any labels they may have), I just sort of compare new versions that I find with ones that I already have and see how similar they are to each other in order to sort them. If you got it off the net, then it probably is version 2.0K - that seems to be the most common one.

Just checked, it seems it's 2.0K and the corresponding SDK. I also found 2.0I (without SDK, though), and a way to check. Running strings(1) on the extension-less file (like ultra) gives a header like:
    Code:
    Ultra 64 Development Environment, 2.0I
Tell me if you want them and I'll upload them.

EDIT: Just realized you omitted 2.0K in your OP, whoops. The offer for 2.0I still stands.

Cool, I hadn't tried to search the strings in the file. Thanks!

I actually got version 2.0I sometime between December (when I made this thread) and now. However, I've also learned since then that there were patches made to the different versions as well. I found patch 5 for 2.0I, so if you have any other patches for that or other versions, I'd be grateful.
