I'm not sure if this is in the right section (or if there even is a correct area for such a request), but I would appreciate help with finding the demo versions of Wipeout and Resident Evil for the PC. After dusting off a whole disc of shareware games from back in the day, I've started looking around for as many classic mid-90s examples as I can find, though so far these two particular titles have proved elusive. Does anyone know of possible leads, since I've spent literally days without locating either so far? Again, if somebody could locate/provide them for me I'd be eternally grateful... even pointing me in the direction of working links is good enough!

Thank you very much for that! I've actually checked that site before, and for whatever reason I didn't notice WipEout on there (although I was able to find a few other great shareware/demo titles).

Do you know how - or if it's even possible in the first place - to extract the WipEout files so it can be made into a Zip file rather than having to go through the sampler disc every time?

As for Resident Evil, I'd rather not download such a large file if there's doubt over whether the password works or not. I'll wait until there's either a new version made available, but again I'm grateful for your help.

It's an ISO, so what does the file structure on the disc look like after you've burned it/used Daemon Tools or something?

In the main directory there's an executable called Wipeout, plus a Windows Batch File of the same name (though I'm not sure if this is linked to the game itself or the menu you use to select the game when booting up the disc itself). Also, there's an entire folder named Wipeout, which has five sub-folders of what I assume are the actual game files. Of course, I don't know how all of this fits together... I'm mainly a product of the Windows 95* generation, so extracting DOS files to make them work is a little before my time, you see.

*Actually, this isn't entirely true - can you believe I was able to reprogram the page and pen colours in BASIC at the age of 4, not to mention print "Hello, world" type message commands! I seem to recall the manual being the thickness of a phone book, while now I lose interest just trying to read the cover of a phone book!

It's easy to miss something, the number of discs available is quite large...and I've uploaded some.

Copy the Wipeout directory where you want it and put DOS4GW.EXE, WIPEGAME.EXE and WIPEOUT.BAT (all three are at the root of the disc) in it, it works.
    Total size: 2.6MB rarred.

Thank you very, VERY much for your help - now I'm just waiting to see if that Resident Evil demo is uploaded without a password and I'll be a happy bunny... or something!

I hate to push my luck here, but I'm also looking for the PC demo of The Scottish Open: Carnoustie Virtual Golf by Core Design from 1995... as always, any help would really make my day!
