[Request] TWL System Updater

I believe the name of the application I am looking for is called TWL System Updater. I picked up an IS-TWL-DEBUGGER but it is acting really strange. The device has a region of America, French as a language, and the system menu will not load. I just get the an error has occurred screen but in French.

I can still launch code through the IS-TWL-DEBUGGER application but even trying to launch system menu through the application throws an error to power off the console.

If there is no available version of this software is there any other way to restore the system software on this unit?

You have the red debugger box plus the DSi unit?

 

Yes, I picked up the debugger box with wireless and video, controller, a panda unit, and 2 flash carts. One of the flash carts was a DSi cart that ended up being empty. The other was an original DS cart and had a game called Geometrix on it which I cant find anything on. I'm assuming it was cancelled.

The unit used to be with a developer out of Ohio but that doesn't mean it couldn't be Canadian. The panda unit is in proper English. If it was a Canadian unit would the TWL System Updater app allow me to correct that? When I try to launch code in IS-TWL-DEBUGGER it tells me I can change the region using that application so I assume it would let me completely reinitialize its firmware. Could be wrong though.

Edit: This would still be good to have but I am actually hoping I can get this unit going without wiping the firmware now. If I load twl nmenu I can see 10 installed titles. Of those 8 of them work and one is another unreleased game called Scratch and Win. nmenu does not let you copy installed packages to the sd card so I'd rather get them off of the unit before it would be wiped.

There is a title on there named NTRJ with a vendor of 01 which I am assuming is a Nintendo title. When I try to run it I get the following output from the debugger app

Edit2: Looks like that NTRJ was actually what was breaking the system from booting. I used twl nmenu to delete the title and now the device boots normally.

I have bought few empty DS carts and one of them wasn't empty at all. After dumping it, I have a file called NTRJv00. It looks like to be an early build of the NTR cart that have leaked over the web. But as you have found it on a TWL, it seems to be a DSi file. This file allow debug option, I guess. But for the moment, I only have a blank screen when running it. The fact that you have found these files on an IS-TWL make me think that I should try this cart on a DSI. It may work better.
