I was wondering if anyone around may have the ripped sound clips from the game? I managed to find a site where someone ripped the entire music tracks from the game but no sound clips.
Mostly searching for 3 specific sound clips. Also anything related inside the game pertaining the Funkifyed Notes.

    ToeJams - Funkifyed!
    Earls - Funkifyed!
    Laticias - Funkifyed!

Sound Samples related to the funkifyed notes.

I already have a softmodded xbox to extract the files but dont think theres a way to convert them from their original state or if so I havent found any articals on music ripping from the original xbox.
Checked with a few other fourms and no info there either.

This is just a small request though and some insight on maybe future ablilty to rip audio from games on original xbox if theres any information to provide.

Thank you for any info and help

I'm certain that the sound clips/files are in .afs or .adx (cannot remember 100%), and there are tools available online to convert those files into .wav format.

Oh awesome I had no idea what exactly I was searching for inside the game so that helps me out a ton. Is there a specific program name you'd recommend? Also thanks for the quick reply.

Checking through the files of the game and all I see are .xwb .xsb .sfd or in the Music folder theres some labled as .adp

For one of the .sfd files it has the name "notes_funkify.sfd" Maybe thats the correct file for the Funkifyd notes sound clip.
Or its compressed into something else.

Searched the entire game for those .afs and .adx and none around that I can find.

Ah yeah it may not be .afs then, .sfd are MPEG-1 movie files so those are presumably cutscenes.

however if for whatever reason they've compressed audio files into that format, here is a list of some useful Xbox utilities:

SFD2MPG is the one you want for those files.

Thanks guys! Great tools for extracting these samples.

    Just one more thing.

It has converted just about everything but theres still not the file with the specific sound samples Im hunting for. I do see some .bmt .btx files sitting here too. One is named "fx_common.bmt" and "fx_common.btx" think those are the FX's that might have the Funkify samples in it?

Update: Still no luck on those sound effect files. Not sure exactly where they may be hidden at.

Xbox devs sure are smart guys and much respect to them all.

Ran into another unique named file encoded as .FUNK which is pretty cool being thats what ToeJam & Earl is based on.

Maybe the sound effect files are hidden in those .FUNK files or something.

Sorry for the spammage but I didn't get any reply back. If anyone happens to come across this thread and knows what kind of file in TJ&E 3 is that's a ".funk" file please lemme know. This way I can convert the sound bits out of it. If someone knows I'll rip everything out of it and zip it up and share it for anyone who needs if that's allowed here. Also a thank you note for the guys that already helped me with some links to tools will be written on a text.

    Thanks again
    Shane

I can't help you, but you could do some research on "file analysis"..

Thanks for the help Druid and americandad. I'll give it a shot again with that program and scan through the streams.adb file. My Xbox's power supply just killed itself on me last night with the soldering coming loose on the power plugin spot. Gonna re-solder it soon and order a back up. Glad I was able to catch the thing arking before it killed the system and possibly burnt the house down.
