http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixUt...BCjxziz30MsNfIBlAhS70Iq1oRFv_Fw&feature=inbox I still can't believe it actually works, along with the SDK software, xbmovie, ect. Hawk
Not sure if serious... But yeah indeed great props to them, finally we can have a fully dev kernel on retail, funny thing is, I don't think this can be accomplished using a jtag.
This is great news, but is there any more info on it, like limitations for because the system has less ram than a dev kit? PS allso this would probably mean dev kit prices might drop soon
i can confirm that this works, also its not really like a true dev more just like a test on steroids. but to be fair a test kit is better than a jtag any day confirmed it working on 2 slims and a zephyr
Ya even though the RGLoader Dev is new. Dev rebooters been out there for years, Just private. So old but sad. Note to people, this might turn it to XBR Fest.
Any idea if this system links correctly to devkits? Right now I have a nice setup with several xbox and I can't system link them due to the fact one of them is a devkit and the other is a jtag. Hopefully this will get my gaming room back on track. Also devlink didn't work with black ops, so yeah this would be an ideal solution for me at the time.
I don't see much of a need to convert jtags into glitched type systems myself. By using an extra piece of hardware you introduce more points of failure into the 360 which has enough as it is. And apparently the Matrix glitch chip I purchased (but have to to program) has been superseded by a newer version boasting faster glitch times. Can't say I'm surprised but I suppose there is no need to wait for anything but superior software.
Hopefully they take my advice and stop putting the flash contents in /DEVKIT/  'Nuff said. How so? My glitch slim (image built with xebuild) without a sidecar shows up as a devkit... xbdm.ini and the info in this formum for mapping flash to neighborhood ftw  It should leo... why didn't you just do the opposite of devlink though and patch the retail/jtag systemlink key to a dev one?
isnt the /DEVKIT/ folder a .long I was reading the patch file and dont understand how they find that value.
I'm well aware of the fact that the current glitch technique doesn't work, you'll notice how my post was worded though I suppose I should be more verbose.
The SMC RGH systems are better than the Old SMC hacked, as the chain of trust is broken at the CD level than the kernel.
I have a question out of curiosity, i don't want to attempt this but do these have access to partner net?
ddxcb "The SMC RGH systems" ... do you realize that the only hack done to smc on glitch machines is to remove the if(resetTimes == 5) RROD(); 5 reset limit? (the smc patch literally, and only, nops out the instruction that increments the counter for this.) I don't know where you get superior, aside the from the fact it can be done on most updated consoles overall glitching is far less reliable than JTAG, especially since 4532 really doesn't have time to init enough to be an issue.
Yes but helps the users with the glitch chips to boot unless they want to do power at every chance. if we can glitch w/o modding the smc then, but it is help full for the users. well the smc hacked xboxes aka "jtag" the chain is broken at kernel level while RGH is at CD. In most cases yes "" "Jtag" can boot successfully at 100% than RGH, just stating the fact that the chain of trust is broken at an earlier point.
That doesn't mean its "better". It depends what you want from the system as to what is better or not.
